“ The Spartan RISE Program provides an alternative to traditional suspension options when addressing student discipline issues. Spartan RISE leverages best practices from multiple disciplines in order to build respect and responsibility, integrity, safety, and engagement in our students while establishing a sense of belonging to our school community. Building these skills and a sense of belonging works to change student behavior in meaningful ways and affect long-term growth.”
Assist with day-to-day classroom management and activity planning, including:

• Maintaining classroom organization
• Providing support in general classrooms
• Reinforcing previously taught concepts
• Preparing teaching materials, performing clerical duties, and keeping documentation as needed

Under the direction of the Dean and Social Worker, maintain classroom expectations and norms
Perform and maintain behavior management techniques as directed by the Dean, including redirection and consistently upholding program expectations
Supervise students at the direction of the program Dean and Social Worker
Collaborate with Administration owing development and implementation of progress monitoring of individual students
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
1. May be asked to participate in team processes for continuous improvement.
2. Perform tasks assisting clerical and administrative staff.
3. Perform other responsibilities set forth in the teacher assistant job description.
