Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin is Hiring a Supply Chain Technician Near Milwaukee, WI

Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin is looking to add a Full Time, Day shift Supply Chain Technician to our team!

What You Will Do

  • Replenish and distribute materials to ensure sufficient inventory levels of supplies throughout the facility.
  • Responsible for purchasing of supplies to replenish inventory levels. Forecasting future use as necessary.
  • Responsible for the receipt of all materials and documenting in all appropriate systems.
  • Create purchase orders for vendors with consigned implants and supplies.
  • Work directly with linen vendor on quality concerns and inventory levels. Distribute linen throughout the facility as is needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout storeroom, loading dock, and storage closets.
  • Assist with year-end inventory counts and any cycle counts as needed.

What You Will Need

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience Or Associates degree/Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of experience.

Additional Preferences

  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, patients, physicians and the general public.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Computer Skills: Job requires specialized computer skills. Must be adept at using various applications including spreadsheets, insurance portals, report writing, word processing, communicate by e-mail, scheduling software, and EHR use.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Special Requirements: Must be able to work variable hours and be flexible to meet the needs of the hospital’s daily schedule.
