Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin is Hiring a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) Near Glendale, WI

Job description

We are looking for a skilled Registered Nurse to join the OHOW team! You will work for a small, team-oriented organization that values patient and staff satisfaction.

This position will require part-time working hours with 8 or 10 hour shifts. Fridays are required.

Core Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to implement medical plan of care, nursing interventions, and procedures as necessary for the care of the patient.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
  • Assesses and evaluates the identified problems, care provided, and patient’s responses are reassessed in order meet patient and family needs to ensure overall quality of care delivered.
  • Serves as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Maintains up to date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team, in order to ensure quality care and communicates any potential concerns with team members as needed.
  • Educates patients and family members on treatment and care plans, as well as answering their questions.
  • Directs other licensed and non-licensed personnel in the provision of care to patients as assigned.
  • Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
  • Assumes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Customer/patient service experience
  • Ability to multi-task

Education

  • Current Registered Nurse License
  • BLS, ACLS Certifications Required
  • BSN Preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: No more than 36 per week

Schedule: 8 or 10 hour shifts (1100-1930 or 09-1930)

This position is located at the Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin (OHOW). OHOW was established in 2001 as a joint venture between a group of orthopedic surgeons and Ascension Wisconsin.

OHOW focuses solely on the full-service treatment of orthopedic injuries and conditions. We provide surgery, inpatient overnight stays, laboratory services, diagnostic imaging and rehabilitation services. These services are accomplished in our patient-centric 30-bed, 10-Operating Room orthopedic specialty hospital.
