OrthoCarolina is seeking a qualified professional to join our Finance team as an Accountant II. This position is mostly remote but must be able to travel onsite as needed or requested. As an Accountant II you will be a contact for internal and external customers for accounting questions and will prepare various financial reports and must be able to explain this financial accounting data to non-accountants in an effective written or oral medium. Facilitation of the budget process and the year-end accounting audit are performed by this position. Other duties may include: Computing Physician Compensation as needed for payroll and bonus purposes. Complete subsidiary financial statements and compute bonus amounts for eligible personnel. Assist the Accounting Manager in development of the annual budget process Prepares and processes more complex monthly closing journal entries Submits financial statement packages to be distributed to the Executives and physicians Analyzes financial processes and recommends changes/opportunities to improve system financial performance Maintains Accounting Department Systems (including but not limited to Great Plains, Management Reporter, Forecaster, etc) Completes annual projects and audits as needed.
