OrthoArizona is Hiring a Surgery Scheduler Near Scottsdale, AZ
- Schedules, coordinates, and reschedules surgeries.
- Communicates necessary information to patients, staff, and physicians.
- Verifies necessary information and records information in patient's medical record.
- Coordinates necessary equipment, surgical assists, and anesthesia relative to surgeries.
- Maintains and updates physician's calendars.
- Answers telephone, screens calls, clears voicemail, returns patient calls in a timely manner.
- Answers questions regarding patient's upcoming surgeries.
- Updates patient information.
- Prepares surgical packet materials.
- Assists in training and orienting of new staff.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understand/Perform training on practice management software
- Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1-year experience of medical scheduling
- 2 years of experience surgery scheduling
