An Orthopedic office in Scottsdale, Arizona is seeking a motivated and experienced Surgery Scheduler for our office in Scottsdale, Arizona. This position provides support to the Providers, back office, and patients through Surgery Scheduling

Position Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Schedule and coordinate all patient surgeries, including vendors and hospitals or outside facilities.
• Obtain authorizations for all surgeries according to insurance guidelines
• Coordinate and track medical clearance for patients, if applicable
• Obtain authorizations for outside imaging and DME
• Verify all patient demographic information is correct before surgery
• Verifying all patient insurances for both In and Out of Network benefits 2 days before procedure.
• Communicate with patients regarding coinsurance, copays, or deductibles before surgery. Set up payment plans if necessary.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with referring Provider offices.
• Primary back up for phones and taking messages for back office. Relay messages to back office as needed. Check voicemails on an hourly basis and return as needed.
• Complete patient reminder calls for upcoming surgeries.

Qualified candidates will have the following:

• BS/BA Preferred
• Understanding of medical terminology
• Experience in a medical office setting
• Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
