OrthoTennessee is seeking an Insurance Billing Coordinator for a Monday through Friday opportunity with flexible scheduling at our West Knoxville location. The Insurance Billing Coordinator will be responsible for preparing claims for filing by obtaining paperwork and information necessary for compliant billing, file paper claims with necessary documentation (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary), work daily mail, provide requested documents and information to payers, attorneys, and collection agencies. This Insurance Billing Coordinator position will resolve issues preventing the creation of claims, address and resolve eligibility rejections identified at the clearinghouse, and review daily eligibility reports to preemptively obtain health insurance information for patients with scheduled appointments. Additionally, this role will ensure preauthorization numbers are populated into the billing system, work tasks to correct any patient demographic or insurance information as needed for refiling rejected/denied claims, and may be responsible for coordinating or resolving Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) billing issues, as well as other duties as assigned. Medical billing experience is required.
