Orlando Science Charter School K-8 - East Campus is Hiring a STEM Teacher, Elementary School Near Orlando, FL

Do you have a passion for STEM and a desire to ignite curiosity in young minds?

Orlando Science Charter School seeks a dedicated Middle School STEM Teacher to bridge the gap between elementary school foundations and rigorous high school coursework. You'll create engaging, hands-on curriculums that cater to diverse learning styles and prepare students for success in a rapidly evolving world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft innovative STEM curriculums aligned with state standards, incorporating the latest advancements in the field. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a comprehensive and engaging program.
  • Foster a collaborative learning environment where students actively participate through projects, discussions, and technology-integrated activities.
  • Implement differentiated instruction to meet individual needs and learning styles. Collaborate with specialists to support students with IEPs and 504 plans.
  • Design and administer assessments to gauge student progress and provide constructive feedback. Offer targeted support based on individual needs.
  • Establish clear expectations and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Maintain open communication with parents, guardians, and school administrators. Collaborate effectively with colleagues to share best practices and promote a cohesive educational program.
  • Continuously improve your teaching skills by actively participating in professional development opportunities.
  • Consider sponsoring STEM clubs or initiatives that provide students with additional learning experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or a related field
  • Valid Florida teaching certificate or eligible to receive one.
  • Strong understanding of STEM concepts and curriculum frameworks
  • Experience creating engaging and differentiated lesson plans
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for fostering a love of STEM learning in middle school students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Education or a relevant field
  • Experience teaching STEM courses
  • Proficiency in integrating educational technology
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment
