Role Overview: The Technical Delivery Manager is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the development and migration of applications within the Microsoft Azure Cloud environment. This role demands a strategic leader with a deep understanding of software development, cloud technologies, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Delivery Excellence:
Oversee all aspects of project delivery, ensuring compliance with timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
Develop and maintain project governance structures, processes, and KPIs.
Generate detailed reports on project performance, risks, and issues, providing impact analysis and mitigation strategies.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
Collaborate with onshore and offshore leads to create comprehensive project and sprint plans.
Track progress against plans, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions.
Manage project scope using documented change management techniques.
Risk and Resource Management:
Proactively identify potential risks and communicate them effectively.
Develop and oversee the implementation of mitigation and remediation plans.
Manage the allocation and utilization of project resources, ensuring optimal productivity.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and manage a diverse team of professionals, including Business Analysts, Offshore Delivery/Scrum Masters, Solution Architects, Team Leads, and QA Leads.
Foster a collaborative environment, providing clear leadership and swift problem resolution.
Engage the team to identify project issues, risks, and develop action plans.
Client Relationship Management:
Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives and develop solutions that meet these objectives.
Engage in direct client communications with a high comfort level, maintaining excellent written and oral communication skills.
Operational Oversight:
Track progress against plans and budget, noting exceptions and action plans.
Maintain flexibility in work hours to manage diverse teams and meet critical deadlines, sometimes working in war room situations for project completion.
Professional Experience & Skills:
Industry Experience:
A minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant work experience in a professional software development environment.
Experience managing the full software development life cycle of enterprise applications.
Experience in the Financial or Audit industry is beneficial.
Technical Expertise:
Strong experience in Azure platform services, Cloud Native Architecture, and design patterns.
Proficiency in .NET, API, Angular, OR REACT development, and recent Azure certification is highly preferred.
Technical understanding of Azure and MS tech stack, including integration services and security & monitoring tools.
In-depth knowledge of Azure Services like App Services, Web Apps, API Management, Integration Services, Azure Batch, Web Jobs, Data Stores, and Security & Monitoring tools.
Good understanding/knowledge of Azure Open AI / Generative AI.
Ability to identify potential use cases for using Advanced / Generative AI. Be able to translate the use case into POC requirements. And guide offshore AI teams to implement the POC's
