Position: Labor and Delivery Nurse
location: Edison, NJ

Summary: As a Registered Nurse (RN) at our facility in Edison, NJ, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care. Working within a collaborative healthcare team, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients under your supervision. Your compassion, clinical expertise, and attention to detail will ensure the delivery of safe and effective care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of patients upon admission and throughout their stay.
  • Develop individualized care plans based on assessment findings, patient needs, and physician orders.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to established policies and protocols.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions and modify care plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with physicians, healthcare team members, and other disciplines to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and complete electronic medical records.
  • Adhere to infection control practices, safety regulations, and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of New Jersey.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS and other certifications may be preferred depending on the unit.
  • Minimum of one year of recent nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize patient care tasks.
  • Commitment to providing patient-centered care with compassion and professionalism.

Working Conditions:
