Location: On-site, New York City

Salary: $150,000-$190,000

About the Role

We are offering a unique opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lead Developer to be the first member of our lean and dynamic software development team. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of our core projects, including products to support our kitchen operations, manage our recipe data, and develop products for new lines of business. Your contribution will be instrumental in shaping the technological direction of our company and ensuring the successful execution of our digital products. As we expand, you will have the opportunity to help build our team. Initially, you must be a self-starter, tackling many complex problems as a solo developer. Due to the operational complexity of our business and the systems that support it, on-site presence is mandatory (5 days/week).

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership in Development: Manage software solutions' planning, design, and deployment from initial concept to launch.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across kitchen operations, data management, and executive levels to define product requirements and strategic roadmaps.
• Coding Excellence: Craft clean, efficient, and scalable code with thorough documentation, ensuring software reliability and maintainability.
• Innovative Technology Implementation: Evaluate and introduce new technologies that align with and advance our product objectives.
• Project Management: Oversee project timelines and deliverables, maintaining high-quality standards and meeting crucial milestones.
• Strategic Contributions: Actively contribute to strategically planning the company's technology resources and future team expansion.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Professional Experience: At least seven years of software development experience, including at least three years in leadership.

• Technical Expertise:
  • Strong command of UI/UX principles, aiming for user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces.
  • Proficient in design tools (Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or Photoshop).
  • Expertise in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern programming languages and frameworks (JavaScript, React, Node.js, Python).
  • Experience in developing consumer-facing web and mobile applications and backend systems.
  • Knowledgeable in real-time data processing and display systems.
  • Management Skills: Experience in managing offshore technical teams and project deliverables.
• Additional Skills: Familiarity with hardware integration is a plus.

• On-site Requirement: This role requires on-site presence in NYC 5 days per week.
• Communication: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to effectively manage team interactions and stakeholder expectations.
