Position: Patient Access Representative
Description: The Patient Access Representative greets and assists patients in person and on the phone, schedules appointments by computer, takes messages, enters and verifies patient information. The Patient Access Representative will work as a member of a team to provide a high level of customer service to our patients. Other general office duties are also required. This position will work in both the Orange City Medical Clinic and the Walk-In Clinic.
Number of Hours: Part-Time: approx. 17-31 hours/week.
Schedule: Medical Clinic: Monday 8:30am-5:00pm & Thursday 7am-4:30pm and Saturday morning rotation. 7:45am – 12pm (approx. 4 a year).
Walk-In Clinic: 4 week rotation. Week #2 – Friday 5pm – 9pm. Week #4 – Saturday & Sunday 1pm – 9pm.
Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required. Customer Service and computer experience required.
Other: The applicant must work well with patients in the utmost professional and confidential manner. This person must be able to work under stress, handling a large amount of phone calls and patient encounters. He/she must have an attention to detail and strong organizational skills and computer skills are required. Ability to work with the public in a pleasant and professional manner is a must.
