Description: The Prairie Ridge Cottage Leader is responsible for the overall management of nursing services and resident care in the Sunrise cottage. She/he is responsible for completion of the MDS's and Care Plans, assists with the daily staffing in the cottage, and also serves as the Infection Preventionist at Prairie Ridge Care Center. As Infection Preventionist he/she is responsible for the facility’s activities aimed at preventing healthcare-associated infections.
Number of Hours: Option of either Full-Time (32 hrs./wk.) or Part-Time (24 hrs./wk.)
Schedule: Part-Time: 8 a.m. to 4:30 pm, Mon, Wed, and Fri. On-call every 5th week and holiday.
Full-Time: Same schedule as above plus one charge nurse shift per week.
Educational Requirements: Graduate of approved Registered Nursing program. Current licensure in the State of Iowa.
Other: S/he has primary responsibility for care of the residents in the cottage. S/he must possess good communication skills and promote teamwork within the cottage. He/she must be committed to Senior Care and ways to enhance the lives of the residents.
