Description: The Office Assistant is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, tracking, and maintaining education classes and records. He/she schedules nursing preceptorships, clinicals, and shadow visits. This position takes notes at meetings, orders supplies, scans and prints documents, and communicates effectively with staff, instructors, and schools. Located in the Business Office, this position will greet and direct visitors and serve as a backup to the Executive Assistant.
Number of Hours: Part time: 24 hours/week
Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm; days may vary.
Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Post high school secretarial, medical or computer training preferred.
Other: Good communication and customer service skills are essential. Computer skills necessary with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Must be highly organized and have good attention to detail. Previous office experience, especially in a medical office setting preferred.
