Summary: The Strategic Marketing Manager will report directly to the Vice President – Commercial and will be responsible for analyzing, summarizing and creating actionable reports that will guide Opta's future commercial strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides actionable overall market and customer insights to address key strategic questions
- Develops marketing strategy by studying economic indicators, tracking changes in demand, identifying customers, and monitoring competitors
- Organizes customer-relations programs and company presence at conventions, annual meetings, trade associations, and seminars
- Responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing the performance of marketing & business activities, ad-hoc analytic requests, and development/automation of regular reports
- Analyzes and summarizes external and internal customer data using database queries, spreadsheets models, web analytics tools, statistical analysis tools, and campaign management software tools
- Creates PowerPoint presentations to provide product and market insights to other marketing and sales departments
- Provides tactical support to implement ideas
- Provides support and oversight for special projects and initiatives
- Identifies and provides recommendations on improvements across the organization
- Track new markets and emerging trends
- Work closely with company’s sales and product development teams
- Provide and coordinate reporting assistance to existing & prospective entities as required
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or other quantitative discipline is required
- MBA or Master’s Degree preferred
- 5-10 years related work experience in B2B commercial space, preferably serving industrial markets
- Familiarity with CRM software, ideally Salesforce
- Excellent communication skills/ multi-lingual preferred
- Expertise in Microsoft Powerpoint
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools
LOCATION: Home office/remote. Travel as required (estimated 25-50%)
