OPS Consulting is seeking a Process Engineer Level 3 to work in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Job Description: The Process Engineer (PE) Level 3 will apply process improvement, engineering methodologies, and principles to effectively improve and align enterprise level processes and projects. The PE will facilitate project teams with the goal of accomplishing project activities and objectives. The PE will coordinate the transfer of new processes and practices across the different teams by providing group facilitation, interviews, trainings, and knowledge transfer. The PE will act as a key coordinator between multiple projects and teams across the enterprise.Additional Responsibilities:

The PE will act as a key coordinator between multiple projects and teams across the enterprise.Additional Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule process assessments.
- Analyze assessment results and make improvement recommendations to the project manager.
- Assess process improvement progress and report findings.
- Assist in defining Process Improvement strategy and lessons learned.
- Develop the plans for process assessments, both formal and informal.
- Work closely with the systems and software engineering process development teams to determine organizational readiness.
- Ensure assessment results and recommendations are used on the basis of improvement plans.
- Evaluate Systems Engineering and Software Engineer processes to address problems with process workflow, organizational structure, and planning alignment.
- Lead process improvement efforts utilizing CMM/CMMI or similar models.
- Provide in- depth experience in troubleshooting IT systems and hardware problems.
- Configure and manage Unix and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and install/ load, troubleshoot, maintain, and configure network components along with implementing operating system enhancements.
- Fifteen (15) years’ experience as a PE with five (5) years’ experience in facilitation, training, methodology development and evaluation, and process engineering, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or Education.
- Four (4) additional years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
- A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required.
