OPS Consulting is seeking a HPC System Engineer Level 4 to work in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Job Description: The HPC System Engineer Level 4 will apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. The HPC System Engineer will interact with the leadership team regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts. Additional responsibilities will include:
Job Description: The HPC System Engineer Level 4 will apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. The HPC System Engineer will interact with the leadership team regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts. Additional responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Requirements specifications, and Interface Control Documents
- Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure the delivery of production systems that are compatible with the defined system architecture(s)
- Assist with the allocation of the same to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components
- Experience with High Performance Computing networking requirements, architecture design, and implementation system integration. Experience with networking enclaves, VPNs, HPCs, including Purpose Built Devices.
- Strong skills in customer support, communication, and teaming.
- Requirements extraction, teaming with vendors/ industry, and building relationships
Required Experience:
- 10 years of experience as an HPC System Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree completed in a technical discipline. In lieu of a technical degree, an additional 4 years of experience is required to equal 14 total years’ experience.
- A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required.
