This role will offer you the opportunity to:

• Demonstrates high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to be at work consistently, to arrive on time, to follow instructions, to respond to management direction and to solicit feedback to improve performance
• Responsible for assisting lead teachers with developing a positive learning environment, and delivering quality educational experiences for the students

Key elements:

• Work closely with teacher to implement daily lessons
• Setting up learning stations / learning materials
• Assisting in classroom management
• Provide student support
• Supervision of students / record keeping

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Report to office upon arrival at school and requests clarification of school rules and procedures, if necessary
• Complete a Substitute Teacher Form for the classroom teacher
• Complies with and supports school and state regulations and policies
• Performs other related duties as assigned by building administrators in accordance with school/state policies

Requirements:

• Effective instructional delivery techniques and excellent commnication skills
• Takes initiative and is resourceful in problem solving -positive interpersonal skills and can work well on a team
• High School Diploma or GED
