OPEXUS is Hiring a Director, Sales Engineer Near Washington, DC
This role leads a team of sales engineers who help position OPEXUS’s built-for-government software to customers and prospects, identifying their pain points and business requirements and aligning them to specific solutions. Sales Engineers enable and empower the sales team to qualify customer needs, identify win themes, and bring in new business, and they partner with product to ensure a best-in-class, government-centric innovation process reflective of customers’ top-priority needs. This role will also serve as a thought leader, helping amplify OPEXUS’s point of view and subject matter expertise both within OPEXUS and the broader market.
Core Areas of Focus
Partner with GTM leadership team to deliver an excellent pre-sales process at scale, using collateral, videos, and live customer interactions to progress customer journeys
Serve as subject matter experts for our software applications, partnering with account executives throughout the sales process from identification of pain points and win themes to scoping solutions and onboarding new customers
Collaborate with sales and sales directors to meet individual and team revenue targets, as well as build strong relationships with prospects and existing customers
Effectively position OPEXUS products and value proposition relative to manual processes or competitive solutions; shape and refine OPEXUS product narratives to open records, inspector general, procurement, and HR customers across Federal and SLED
Perform technical presentations and product demonstrations for a variety of customer / partner stakeholders
Identify where / how cross-functional stakeholders are required to progress a deal, bringing them in and working to document technical details where required
Monitor the market to advise on ways to continuously modify and improve products to meet customer needs; support OPEXUS R&D as we evolve our solutions to meet public sector customer needs
Participate in the RFI/RFP/RFQ process by identifying and creating answers that provide value and benefits to prospects while coordinating with sales, implementation and technical resources
Minimum Qualifications:
5 years of experience in Go-to-Market (Sales & Marketing), consulting, or customer-facing service delivery experience
Knowledge or experience in cloud-based, SaaS solutions strongly desired
Strong technical skills including the ability to articulate technical solutions to a non-technical audience
High-energy, engaging self–starter with excellent collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills; thrives in high-growth, fast-paced environments
Strong presentation development and speaking skills
