Staff Accountant

OPEX Corporation is looking for a full time Staff Accountant to work at our World Headquarters in Moorestown, NJ or Plano, TX. This position will work on various parts of accounting, including AR and AP. OPEX is looking for someone who can help the transition into a new system run smoothly.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist with the end-to-end process for AR and AP
• Assist with monthly account reconciliations
• Assist with bank reconciliations
• Assist with maintaining fixed assets 
• Assist with Month End and Year End closing procedures
• Assist with Physical Inventory Count
• Prepare and post adjusting journal entries
• Evaluate possible efficiencies with the new ERP system
• Review data for accuracy
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or another relevant field required
• Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Oracle system or similar ERP experience
• Strong communication skills through e-mail, telephone, and instant messaging
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Ability to comprehend fast-paced business issues and practices
• Must be self-driven creative, and motivated to build new skills and grow with the position
• Oracle experience preferred but not required
