Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide assistance and support to individuals in their daily activities. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in promoting the well-being and independence of our clients.
Duties:
- Provide personal care services to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including lifting and positioning clients
- Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as toileting and hygiene
- Drive clients to appointments, errands, or recreational activities as needed
- Follow established care plans and document any changes or observations
- Respect and uphold resident rights and maintain confidentiality
- Utilize behavior management techniques to promote a safe and positive environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience in home care or a related field is preferred
- Ability to administer medications accurately and safely
- Proficiency in meal preparation following dietary guidelines
- Knowledge of vital sign monitoring and documentation
- Physical ability to lift, move, and assist with transfers of clients
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
