Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care services. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping clients maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Duties:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including meal preparation and laundry
- Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings as needed
- Implement behavior management strategies for clients with challenging behaviors
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client care
Skills:
- Knowledge of assisted living, nursing home, memory care, or home care systems and protocols
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professionalism and boundaries
- Proficiency in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care tasks
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques for individuals with challenging behaviors
- Ability to drive and possess a valid driver's license
