Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Patient Assistant to provide essential care and support to patients in various healthcare settings. As a Patient Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of patients by assisting with daily activities and providing emotional support.

Duties:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques and assistive devices
- Perform catheter care and assist with other medical procedures as needed
- Provide dementia care and support for patients with memory impairments
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic physiology systems
- Familiarity with DME (Durable Medical Equipment)
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients in various healthcare settings, including assisted living facilities and hospice care
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Ability to handle stressful situations with patience and empathy
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

We offer competitive pay rates for this position. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth within the healthcare industry.

Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
