Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager Change Management will lead adoption of new tools, technologies and processes for corporate employees and frontline field leaders and employee agents. This individual will be leading a team who is responsible for developing change management strategy and is instrumental in driving both immediate and long-term strategic change initiatives, ensuring initiatives resonate across different teams, enriching employee experiences, and broad and deep enablement and. Strategic, fast-paced people-leader skills as well as the ability to be an individual contributor on a small, but nimble team is vital.

This role supports the Airport Operations (AO) organization in end-to-end change management from researching and interpreting data that drives organizational change management strategies to project management to tactical change activities throughout the system. Works closely with key collaborators to ensure United's AO organization is prepared to shift and readily adapt to new tools/technology/processes to deliver great customer service to our travelers around the world every day.

It is essential that this role establish and maintain strong business relationships with both senior and operating-level business leaders, including our frontline coworkers, and be a key collaborate with the business. Close collaboration with Customer Strategy and Innovation, Digital Technology, Communications & Training will be critical to the success of the broader team.
  • Lead and manage a team of management employees that support, deliver and implement change management plans across the division as well as oversight for a front-line team of field change champions
  • Lead the development of all change management deliverables - including capability & process models, partner impact assessments, and support the development of training and communications content for impacted stakeholders
  • Partner with organizational leadership, communication, training, project management and business support teams to develop integrated change management activities for all target audiences
  • Expand and use Change Champion network
  • Work with PM/PMO to integrate change management activities into project plan
  • Stay abreast of United's business strategy, and other internal initiatives that intersect with running safe, on-time operations

What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge working with Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint
  • 9 years of management experience in a similar role
  • Direct experience in leading organizations involved in airports, business or related functions
  • Experience in designing or facilitating change management work flows, collaboration and/or support
  • Prior people-leader experience in a dynamic team environment
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Must be a great teammate and able to work collaboratively with others
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Master's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 10 years of management experience in a related role
  • Experience facilitating groups of individuals to unstructured outcomes
  • Knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools
