HR Generalist for ONESCS LLC

Job description

The Human Resources Generalist will provide vital support to the Senior Managers and owner of the company. He/she will ensure company and employee compliance with human resources policies and programs, including recruitment, selection, retention, legal compliance, employee relations, employment practices and procedures, employee communications, and employee events. The HR Generalist will provide support for our employees, including our Spanish-speaking community, contributing to our mission to attract and retain top talent! They will plan, coordinate, and direct the administrative functions of the business unit. They serve as a link between the organization's management and its employees.

Job Responsibilities/Functions

• Support company-wide HR policies, practices, and procedures
• Improving and maintaining employee relations
• Hiring/Terminations: Recruit, interview, hire, re-hire, all warehouse staff including I-9 processing. Handle employee terminations including proper documentation and follow up items
• Support and counsel Warehouse Managers and Supervisors in resolving any problems that could impact daily labor standards and completion of shift requirements.
• Support benefits and leave administration, including short-term disability, workers’ compensation, FMLA and personal leave.
• Time and attendance management and oversight (time clock punch auditing & PTO)
• Handle all interactions with temporary employment agencies including reviewing weekly invoices for accuracy and payment
• Employee relations: handle employee complaints and concerns; document accordingly and escalate to management when necessary.
• Plan and conduct new employee orientation and training sessions.
• Support the recruiting team and hiring managers by participating in job fairs and other recruitment events and activities.
• Partner with management to implement and execute HR-related projects.
• Engaged in initiatives and reporting.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
• Bilingual (English / Spanish) – fluent in both verbal and written forms.
• At least 2 year HR generalist experience in a warehouse environment.
• PHR or SPHR certification a plus.
• ADP Workforce Now experience a plus
• Knowledge of safety regulatory standards
• Must have excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
• Must be proficient in MS Office applications and applicant tracking systems (Workday).
