Oneida ESC Group is Hiring a Project Accountant Near Milwaukee, WI

Oneida ESC Group has an immediate opening for a Project Accountant in our Milwaukee or Green Bay office. This position will participate in the processes necessary for a successful finance and accounting department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare invoices for all assigned projects on a monthly, interim, and milestone basis.
  • Enter all financial paperwork into the accounting system to ensure timely and accurate job cost information. This includes owner and sub change orders, owner billings, budget transfers, subcontractor pay requirements, payroll and accounts payable invoices, etc.
  • Month-end duties.
  • Responsible for project monitoring of actual vs. financial percent completes, providing suggestions for cost control improvements, and monitoring subcontractor invoices/payments against the contract terms.
  • Responsible for understanding the areas of compensation and payment clauses, overhead rates, and revenue recognition per the contractual terms of a project.
  • Bring issues to the attention of the Controller and the Project Manager for assistance and further evaluation.
  • Review contracts and set up projects according to the contract to ensure that the billings and costs are being calculated properly.
  • Manage processes for projects with special requirements such as certified payroll, special reporting, etc.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and call on accounts receivable for collection.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects and changing priorities, working in a cooperative team environment, which includes cross-training with co-workers.
  • Prepare journal entries in accordance with GAAP and other government regulations.
  • Filing, copying, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 0-5 years’ experience in the related field
  • Proficiency in the use of technology including software such as Excel, Access, or other databases.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and group presentation skills

Compensation:

$50,000 - $55,000 Annually Benefits
