Position Summary
The Operational Business Analyst is responsible for developing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for a national home service business. This includes cost, quality and cycle time measures around field services events. The analyst will identify macro and micro trends in the operations, monitor discrepancies and areas of improvement from various areas of the business. This position is also responsible for engaging key line managers and stakeholders relative to business and operational performance
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Monitoring claims performance by different product and service segment.
  • Put in place measures for key initiatives including performance around cost, cycle time and quality.
  • Work with business leaders to identify performance gaps and plans to mitigate and improve.
  • Provides process improvement identification and implementation using root cause analysis techniques.
  • Supports and facilitates calibration sessions both internally and with AWR outsource partners.
  • Strategic partner towards the development of a best-in-class service and delivery protocol. 
  • Uses data to recognize performance risks or opportunities.
  • Creates and sustains a positive environment that fosters team performance and individual excellence.
  • Partner with Commercial Finance to track department performance against key business targets and budgets

Experience and Qualifications of the Role
  • 5 years of analytical experience in a service-related business managing or monitoring high volume transactions.
  • Strong organizational, time and performance management, sense of urgency and prioritization skills necessary.
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills analytical and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to drive results in a fast paced, high-volume work environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills Base understanding of insurance type analytics - frequency and severity principals.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and harmonious working relationships with co-workers, contractors, utility representatives and customers.
Computer Skills Needed to Perform the Job
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suites
  • Experience in database tools, Looker and other basic Business Intelligence capability
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related fields.
