Job Overview

This is an outside, direct sales position responsible for sales and sales growth in the TOLA region. The candidate is accountable for generating new orders by planning and executing sales transactions, which address and provide solutions to business systems problems.

This position reports to the US South Sales Director and is remote based but located in any one of these states: Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas (preference in TX).

Responsibilities

As the Regional Sales Manager, you will:

  • Be responsible for primary outside sales and relationship interface for assigned accounts, as well as developing new accounts.
  • Sell various DC, low-voltage services to include engineering, installation, commissioning, and aftermarket services into assigned telecommunication/data center accounts.
  • Achieve sales budgets by selling to new and existing customers.
  • Manage large National accounts and/or accounts requiring special sales attention.
  • Maintain and increase market share within responsible region or accounts.
  • Follow-up on qualified leads, perform marketing activities, fact finding, configurations, proposals and frequent customer visits.
  • Compile all relevant data to determine the exact nature of the customer's business needs and develop solutions.
  • Serve as primary interface with assigned customers.
  • Be expected to assist in account development, sales plans and forecasting.
  • Present proposals which address customer requirements.
  • Be expected to prepare and/or direct preparation of correspondence relative to service orders activities.
  • Maintain the orders opportunity system databases and develop / prepare a needs assessment as well as distribute appropriate documentation to other team members for cost estimates, contract preparation process, etc.
  • Negotiate price and finalize contract terms and conditions to "close the deal".
  • Performs direct sales and marketing activities including following up on leads; strategic account planning; building relationships with potential customers; fact finding; analyzing business processes in relation to current systems; uncovering applications; cost justifying new systems and applications; performing configurations, engineering and designing systems.

ELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS:Power Conversion will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Telecom or Data Center Sales
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience within the designated territory.
  • Position requires the ability to travel anaverage of 60% ofthe time during a typical workweek.
  • The position must be located in any city within the territory. The South region consists of the following geography: Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas

Desired Characteristics

  • Understanding of DC Power architectures for Communications, Data center, and industrial markets.
  • Experience working within a consultative sales process.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Requires strong oral and written communication skills to negotiate with, and influence customers regarding major sales campaigns.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
  • Ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills.
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability.
  • Proficient with Salesforce.com.
