Main Duties & Responsibilities
Owns the molding client experience from the time the project hits the manufacturing floor through final part or assembly shipment. Oversees the operation of the molding/secondary/assembly operations, shipping/receiving, and material handling (all 3 shifts) in such way as to meet client and internal schedules/commitments and quality requirements in a compliant, safe, productive, and profitable manner.
Stop any manufacturing activity that is considered in violation of Omega, regulatory or safety requirements.
Determine training for team members within approved budget and matrix requirements.
Can initiate hiring/counseling/dismissal process with HR for direct and indirect reports,
Deployment of direct and indirect reports to fulfill the schedule and completed tasks and/or goals.
Set hours for shift leads, Process Techs (level 1), mold setters, and operators.
Specific Responsibilities:
Uphold and communicate the purpose, principles, and vision of Omega Plastics.
Responsible to implement the daily schedule for molding, secondary, and assembly and communicate unresolvable issues to Program Managers and scheduler.
Communicate and escalate scheduling issues to Scheduling and Program Managers
Initiate a problem-solving process at the press.
Ensure shift leads (all 3 shifts) are hitting cycle times and properly reporting on good product, scrap, and non-conforming product.
Direct Process Techs (level 1) for daily scheduled items
Direct Warehouse (shipping, receiving, material handling) personnel.
Responsible for training and leadership development of direct and indirect reports (all 3 shifts) – includes timely performance reviews.
Initiate and/or support improvements to Work Instructions and/or Process improvements.
Responsible for accurate and timely completion of all batch history records for medical molding and assembly operations
Daily rack-up with direct reports to ensure alignment of schedule priorities and issue resolution.
Produce product in accordance with Omega BQMS, GMP, GDP, FDA, and client requirements.
Properly complete NCRs/CAPAs for area(s) of responsibility.
Safety and cleanliness of manufacturing work environment (compliant with TriMas, state & federal requirements)
Other specified duties as required by the President.

Qualifications
Experience Required:
5 7 years leadership and supervisory experience in a technical molding facility
5 years ERP/MRP/Scheduling experience
Medical molding/FDA/ISO13485 experience desired.
