Job Description
This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management by reviewing, summarizing, prioritizing and expediting daily workflow, assisting with carrying out the broad management functions required by the AVP, greeting visitors and assisting with the Office of Student Enrollment and Engagement Services and supporting customers and staff as needed.

This position serves as Office Manager for the Student Engagement & Enrollment Services (SEES) Koch Hall Office and provides administrative support for the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management, the Associate Vice President for Administration of SEES and division leadership in Enrollment Management and the SEES Koch Hall office. The position manages projects to exceed assigned program(s) expectations including serving as a liaison with Human Resources as it fully supports the SEES Division’s staff recruitment initiatives.

Level and type of experience
Considerable experience as an administrative assistant supporting a mid to high level administrator. Considerable experience in office management. Some experience performing and / or overseeing special projects or assignments that are highly sensitive or complex in nature, requiring a high level of independence and initiative in execution and implementation.
Extensive experience using Microsoft Office software and database applications.
Additional Considerations (supplemental knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience, licensure, certification)
Considerable experience working in a college or university setting. Considerable knowledge of Old Dominion University policies and procedures. Some experience with Banner Student Information System. Some experience monitoring budgets.
Conditions of Employment
Given the nature of the positions in Student Engagement & Enrollment Services that provide support to student services and/or student-centered programs, the employee occupying this position may be required to work during a university closing as directed by his or her supervisor. These instances may include working from a remote location (i.e. telework, etc.).

This position is in-person/not remote ( Normal business hours – Monday through Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM.)
