Job Description:
This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management by reviewing, summarizing, prioritizing and expediting daily workflow, assisting with carrying out the broad management functions required by the AVP, greeting visitors and assisting with the Office of Student Enrollment and Engagement Services and supporting customers and staff as needed.
This position serves as Office Manager for the Student Engagement & Enrollment Services (SEES) Koch Hall Office and provides administrative support for the Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management, the Associate Vice President for Administration of SEES and division leadership in Enrollment Management and the SEES Koch Hall office. The position manages projects to exceed assigned program(s) expectations including serving as a liaison with Human Resources as it fully supports the SEES Division’s staff recruitment initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Working knowledge of effective customer service techniques. Sound critical thinking skills for independent decision making and problem solving. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while producing quality work. Demonstrated ability to draft and prepare correspondence, reports, special projects, spreadsheets, agendas and minutes. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with professional and para-professional staff, University officials, external agencies and variety of individuals who may seek this office for assistance. Demonstrated ability to coordinate and plan executive level administrative support activities. Demonstrated ability to independently initiate and carry out projects. Demonstrated ability to promote efficient workflow. Demonstrated ability to interpret policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to coordinate meetings, schedules and travel arrangements. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
