The Research Assistant will be responsible for evening/weekend processing of biological samples collected as part of the CIRCA Phase II Grant and will work directly in coordination with the Hardesty Biosample Lab Manager. The duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Will collect data for the Center for Integrative Research on Childhood Adversity (CIRCA) under the supervision of CIRCA leadership
• Conducts research and laboratory analysis for research staff, to include but not limited to, collect samples and other research information, this will mostly involve processing human blood and tissue
• Data Collection and analysis, including collecting various forms of data pertaining to the research project or projects, which could include database information and/or hard files, enters data into spreadsheet, data analyses and interpretation, and discusses with supervisor or principal investigator
• Record Keeping, including keeping detailed logs of all research related projects or activities
• Courier, sample or reagent pick-up or delivery may be required
• Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position
• Work as a key team member within the OSU Biomedical Imaging Center, and CIRCA, and an ‘extended team’ member in the labs of research faculty affiliated with the Hardesty Center
• This position will require someone who is self-directed, and excited about constantly tackling new challenges and learning new skills

Work Schedule: 2-3days/week primarily weekends; some evenings and university holidays maybe required; initial training will be weekday mornings/mid-day
Work hours must be flexible to include evenings and weekends when necessary.
This position is a grant funded position.
