Position Details:
This position is located in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
Provides administrative support for Extension educators located at the Logan Extension Office. Works cooperatively as part of the support team housed in the office and duties include: 1) Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer software used to complete daily assignments: 2) Perform database entry and management relative to FCS/OHCE/HCE programming; 3) Assist assigned educators with administrative support functions — phone, greet the public, manage mail, develop and retrieve requested materials, file management, maintain and update website, develop marketing materials (flyers), assist with events and registrations, etc.; 4) Assist with travel arrangements and submit travel claims; 5) Understand various OSU, County, and OCES regulations, policies, and office procedures for efficient office management; It is the employee’s responsibility to study this guide and to develop a good working knowledge of policies and procedures for the system. Each employee will be held responsible for compliance with all policies and procedures as stated. The Extension Administrative Support Specialist/Administrative Assistant, with the aid of additional Extension Administrative Support Assistants and/or others (for the purpose of segregation of duties), is responsible for receiving funds, accounting duties, and compiling monthly reports. 6) Work as needed with other county, district, or state offices as appropriate. Majority of assignments will involve FCS/OHCE/HCE programming.
Continuation of employment is based upon need, performance, and available county funding.

Education & Experience
Position Qualifications:
Required: High School/GED
1 year of clerical/customer service experience. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience.
Valid driver’s license. Reliable transportation for travel connected with official duties. Reimbursement for official travel.
Proficient in Microsoft Office. Excellent people skills. Ability to multi-task; yet pay particular attention to details. Good organizational skills. Strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred: Prior work experience in an office setting.
