Functions as the Assistant to Director of the Health Sciences Library and works closely with Executive Committee to provide executive level support for a variety of strategic and special projects, services, and programs for the Health Sciences Library (HSL); coordinates, organizes and performs a wide range of administrative and executive level activities; monitors and and triages complex, confidential, high level communications for Director and Executive Leadership Team; researches complex library issues and problems and identifies possible resolutions; coordinates and organizes meetings and special events including determination and scheduling of logistics; participates on committees as appropriate; independently responds to routine and basic correspondence; prepares edits, and distributes administrative reports, letters, and other communications from the director; anticipates information needs and keeps director informed on strategic initiatives of campus partners including the hospitals and colleges served by HSL; creates reports and presentations including PowerPoint slides used at internal and external meetings with leadership and stakeholders; researches and compiles requested data and information to aid director and library management in making decisions and for long-term strategic planning purposes; assists with compilation of statistics for national associations; assists with other annual reporting and committee requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be required. Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred. 2 years of relevant experience required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree. Demonstrated competency with Microsoft 365 products. Excellent oral and written communication. Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
