Ohio Magnetics is Hiring a Sales Manager Near Maple, OH

Position Summary

Ohio Magnetics, located in Maple Heights, OH seeks a talented, entrepreneurial commercial leader to provide strategic direction and support for commercial activities, including new business and product line development, sales growth with current and future product lines, market segments, and technologies within the business. The Sales Manager will work with current and potential customers, current and potential channels, external sales organizations, and the sales team to promote new and existing technologies, products, and services to meet customer needs and leverage company capabilities into additional markets resulting in year over year profitable sales growth.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop a customer-centric, world-class customer experience culture in the commercial organization.
  • Develop and execute commercial plans that support strategy deployment (SD) annual and breakthrough objectives.
  • Lead and develop talent to position the organization for growth and succession planning.
  • Provide direction and communication between the Commercial team members, Operations and Engineering departments to ensure alignment and awareness of business conditions, on-going activities, process improvements, and unmet end-user needs.
  • Build and maintain strategic, executive level relationships with customers through regular engagement in events, travel to customers, trade shows, etc.
  • Develop a sales and business development process including metrics, cadence, benchmarks, tools to improve organization effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Develop marketing rigor and outbound marketing tools and systems to drive product/competence awareness in the industry.
  • Develop and drive Commercial processes, performance objectives, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and countermeasures to ensure consistent achievement of annual sales and growth targets.
  • Engage, optimize and streamline indirect sales channels to improve effectiveness and results. Develop a cadence and process to track activities and successes and how to replicate them.
  • Conduct and document competitive activities to identify paradigm shifting technologies, new market trends, customer requirements, systems engineering and value-added services; make recommendations to leadership team with respect to future product line/new product development.

Experience and Education Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree in business desirable.
  • Prior experience and success as a commercial leader with direct reports is required.
  • 5 or more years’ experience with Industrial Equipment sales is required; experience in steel production, scrap, and/or recycling industry is desirable.
  • Premier customer service mentality and proven track record.
  • Continuous improvement and process-oriented mindset.
  • Project/program management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to develop solutions to customer problems and translate the solutions into business development strategies and products.

  • Collaboration: Successfully work with all levels and roles in the organization
  • Accountability: High sense of urgency, meets or exceeds deadlines
  • Entrepreneurial, visionary leader who can translate that vision into specific plans, goals and objectives for the company and the commercial team
  • Ability to review data and determine market trends for use in developing forecasts
  • Related industry product and market knowledge
  • Advanced skill with MS Office products
Travel Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record, and be insurable by the Company.
  • Must be able to travel regularly up to 60% of the time.
