Job Overview:
We are seeking dedicated Substitute Teachers to join our team at Odyssey! As an Odyssey Substitute Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment in grades 9th-12th Grade.
**Responsibilities:**
- Implement lesson plans left by the absent teacher effectively.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet students' varying needs and learning styles.
- Manage classroom behavior and encourage student engagement.
- Provide feedback to regular teachers on student progress and behavior.
Requirements:
- Experience in childcare, early childhood education, or working with students.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
- Ability to follow lesson plans and assist students with various subjects including math.
- Experience working with students with special needs or autism is a plus.
- Proficiency in lesson planning, tutoring, and supporting student learning.
- Flexibility to adapt to different teaching environments and grade levels.
