Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist & Receptionist
Industry: Real Estate Development and Construction
Responsibilities:
Accounting:
1. Manage the full cycle of accounts payable for a medium-sized real estate development and construction company.
2. Process vendor invoices accurately and ensure timely payments to vendors and subcontractors.
3. Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintainaccurate financial records.
4. Ensure subcontractors’ compliance with commercial insurance requirements in accordance with company policies.
5. Work with vendors and subcontractors to address inquiries and maintain positive relationships.
6. Reconcile bank statements monthly and in a timely manner.
7. Assist with other accounting and office administration tasks and projects as needed.
Reception / Office Administration:
Manage front desk area including greeting office visitors.
Answer main phone line and route calls appropriately.
Manage office equipment needs (copiers, postage meter, etc.)
Order office supplies and maintain adequate supplies inventory.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist in the real estate development or construction industry.
2. Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices specific to the industry.
3. Familiarity with construction-related invoices, lien releases, and payment processing.
4. Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.Experience with Sage Intacct accounting software preferred.
5. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment.
