Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Gardener to join our team. As a Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance of our gardens, landscapes, and grounds. This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge of various gardening techniques and tools.
Duties:
- Perform regular garden maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching
- Water and irrigate plants to ensure proper growth and health
- Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and pruners to maintain garden beds
- Operate power tools and equipment for larger landscaping projects
- Assist in the design and implementation of new garden layouts
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of gardening equipment and supplies
- Monitor plant health and identify any pests or diseases for appropriate treatment
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient groundskeeping practices
- Provide lawn care services including mowing, edging, and fertilizing
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of plant care techniques including watering, pruning, and fertilizing
- Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in gardening
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently
- Understanding of different plant species and their specific needs
- Experience with greenhouse operations is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods of time
