Job Summary:

This position provides assistance to the Servers in our a la carte dining venue. Position entails set up/tear down for service, moving furniture as needed, setting table for service. Greet members and guests with water and bread basket. Server Assistants will be expected to have an excellent understanding of hospitality and also be expected to go above and beyond to deliver memorable events, while bringing a high level of energy and professionalism.

Job Duties:

• Set tables for service using appropriate items and placements. Reset tables between diners, ensuring all linen and chairs are clean and free from debris
• Greet members and guests with water and bread baskets in accordance with fine dining etiquette and hospitality best practices
• Ensure dining area is neat, clean and stocked at all times
• Complete assigned side work in allocated timeframe
• Removes full trays from tray jacks, return trays of dirty dishes to the kitchen and break them down appropriately
• Assist Servers proactively and/or as directed: boxing or running food, clearing tables, filling water glasses, running drinks.
• Promotes an attitude of teamwork by assisting coworkers
• Works as directed to support the mission and values of Oakland Hills Country Club
• Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Working Conditions:

Work will generally be performed in both indoor and outdoor environments. Outdoor temperatures can range from 50F to 100F during summer months, and there will be exposure to loud noises and sustained elements. Working schedule is generally 20-40 hours per week, with some holidays and weekends required. Must have the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. as required. General standing, walking, lifting, pushing and pulling movements are required.
