Oakdale Memorial Gardens is Hiring a General Office Clerk Near Davenport, IA

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Office Clerk at a historic cemetery. Monday - Friday 20 hours a week, some Saturdays as needed. As a Clerk, you will be responsible for providing general office support and helping customers with their needs. This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities:
- Perform general clerical duties, including photocopying, scanning, and filing documents
- Maintain and update records and databases
- Assist with data entry tasks in Excel, Word, Access and Quickbooks
- Answer phone calls, maintain company website, Facebook and Twitter
- Greet visitors and provide them the necessary information with compassion and understanding
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail
- Assist with office management tasks, such as selling lots, markers, foundations, vases, final inscriptions and so on

- Be present at funerals to ensure everything goes smoothly
- Pass a background check

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in office administration is a plus
- Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in using computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and proofreading
- Experience with QuickBooks is preferred

Starting Wage is $13.00 an hour
