Oakbridge Insurance Agency LLC is Hiring a Regional Vice President Near Raleigh, NC

Deeply Rooted to Serve
Led by the values and mission of the organization, the Regional Vice President is a senior level role that supports and partners with agency leadership to execute on the vision of being the premier, middle-market, and specialty insurance broker in the southeast. This role has income and expense responsibility for all lines of insurance. This role is the key leadership position for a given region and will oversee all people and office locations. This role includes joint accountability for regional financial, operational, and sales results for all lines of insurance in the region CML P&C, Personal P&C, Surety, and employee benefits. The Regional Vice President has direct responsibility for supporting and directing operations efforts in multiple locations to increase service excellence, efficiency, and professionalism throughout the region through process improvements, automation utilization, training, and monitoring. This position will also work with sales leadership to develop a sales strategy, including individual producer coaching, to maximize the firm's organic growth goals. This Position will work closely with the integration team during new acquisitions and assist newly acquired agencies during the transition period after closing. And finally, this position will be responsible for all aspects of the operations of the firm as measured by industry "key performance" factors, including growth, retention, and profitability..
WORK PERFORMED:
  • Responsible for providing executive leadership and managerial oversight to all operations within the specified region
  • Helps establish, implement, and communicate the strategic direction of the firm to the specified region
  • Evaluate staffing loads and needs and make changes when appropriate
  • Participate in he annual budgeting process with emphasis on new investments and resources needed
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance
  • Collaborates with other regions and departments to carry out the organization's goals and objectives
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials
  • Ensures that regional decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organization's business plan and vision
  • Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, standards, and best practices
  • Accountable for regional financial results; including reconciling reports, assisting with annual budget, and monitoring expenses
  • Works with sales and branding discipline leads to develop brand awareness throughout the region, and acts as the lead "brand ambassador" to ensure the "Oakbridge story" is being told throughout the region
  • Works with sales leadership on identifying and hiring, sales professionals
  • Collaborates with Chief Revenue Officer, Director of CL, PL and EB to identify development needs of Regional Sales and Support Teams and ensures deployment of appropriate learning resources
  • Forecast, manage, and remediate for expenses paid for clients, co-broker and any other noteworthy expense items
  • Review client consulting services agreements and other compensation agreements as needed
  • Accountable to integrate new merger partners into the region pre- and post-close
  • Ensures uniform adherence to policies and procedures for agencies within region
  • Establishes and implements methods of measuring success
  • Responsible for maximizing sales, retention, up-selling, and cross-selling opportunities to increase revenue
  • Provides input to developing strategies for selling new and emerging products
  • Partner with VP of Carrier Relations to optimize opportunities for selling new products and maximize bonus agreements
  • Promotes the agency's visibility, prominence, and market position as a premier professional organization
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or a related field
    • 10 years of experience including extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the insurance industry
    • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in leading and mentoring sales and service teams. Strong analytical, strategic, organizational and problem-solving capabilities
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
    • Proactive approach with attention to detail and proven ability to follow through
    • Possess business acumen to include understanding general business principles, finance, accounting, human resources, and marketing strategies
    • Strong multi-level relationship building skills, excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work towards team and individual goals
    • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy, compliance, and quality
    • Ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently
    • Must be independent, self-motivated, and goal and people-oriented
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Other duties as assigned
PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Industry certifications (e.g., CPCU, ARM, CIC)
WORK LOCATION, SCHEDULE, AND TRAVEL :
This position will be based out of one of Oakbridge's NC Research Triangle (Raleigh/Durham) locations with 25% required travel; must be flexible with schedule to accommodate workload and client support needs.
