The Merchandise Manager oversees the merch operations for concerts and events at the Ford Idaho Center. 

This role will pay an hourly wage of $18.00.

Responsibilities

•The Merchandise Manager oversees the successful operation of artist merchandise for all concerts & events selling merch•The Merch Manager serves as the primary liaison between the artist merchandising representative and the venue, providing them with an informative advance and a great on-site experience designed to maximize their sales and the guest experience•Schedule staff for each concert/event•This position will require a commitment to be on-site for a minimum of 90% of all concerts & events selling merch. This includes nights and weekends throughout the year as needed, as well as show days to setup stands and count in/out merchandise before and after shows. •A flexible schedule is necessary for advancing, hiring and training.•Build out each show in atVenu POS system.•Maximize space, set up queues, and ensure all merchandise areas are safe, clean, and well-organized•Manages all venue-owned merchandising equipment & POS iPads to ensure proper working condition.•Serve as a liaison between artist representative and venue management to advance all merch operations for upcoming events.•Support successful sales operations by hiring, training, and mentoring additional merchandise sellers as needed to ensure an exceptional experience for all guests and artist representatives•Complete all required reports promptly, including artist settlements and inventory.•Ensure team compliance with Ford Idaho Center policies and procedures.•Report all incidents, accidents, needed repairs, and customer feedback to the Director of Events at the end of each show•Other duties as assigned by venue management

Qualifications

•Enjoy concerts and events•Possess outstanding written, verbal, and documentation skills•Be proficient in professional communication standards•Possess excellent interpersonal skills•Ability to work with the public and possess conflict-resolution skills•Ability to lead and direct a team•Flexible schedule, ability to work nights and weekends as concerts are scheduled•Ability to work 12-18 hours on event days•Ability to work outdoors during summer amphitheater season in hot weather.•Be a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision•Be highly organized and have meticulous attention to detail•Be outgoing, friendly, and personable•Be extremely reliable, dependable, and responsible•Be professional and courteous with a positive attitude•Exercise discretion and confidentiality•Ability to effectively communicate in English•Ability to exercise composure and handle multiple priorities in fast-paced and potentially stressful situations•Ability to problem-solve and quickly and effectively diffuse problematic situations•Possess excellent sales skills•Proficiency with Google Suite including Google Drive, Gmail, Google Docs, and Google Sheets and/or the Microsoft Word equivalents to complete all work•Proficient in handling cash and processing payments on a variety of processors•Familiarity with atVenu preferred but not required•Ability to work in a loud enviroment•Must be knowledgeable or willing to learn to work with touch screen systems, payment processors, computers, money counting machines, and other office or event equipment as necessary•An appropriate attitude and interpersonal skills will take precedence in the hiring process•Candidates with documented prior experience will take preference•The employee may be needed to lift or move up to 50 pounds using appropriate lifting methods•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and color vision
