Overview

The role of the Building Services Specialist is to follow the department guidelines as set by the Building Services Supervisors to ensure a high level of cleanliness and client satisfaction at the venue. Job duties include providing cleaning services to our suites, clubs, and other specialty areas. Must be reliable, hardworking, and willing to work nights and weekends.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $15 to $20.00.

About the Venue

The Donald L. Tucker Civic Center features a 12,500-seat arena, 34 luxury suites, 476 club seats, over 54,000 sq. ft. of meeting and exhibition space and an arena view restaurant, the Spotlight Grille. The arena is home to Florida State Men’s and Women’s basketball and is known for its electric atmosphere and fierce home court advantage. Not only a music and sports venue, the arena also is frequently used for trade shows, large catered functions, receptions, religious services, and classes. Responsibilities

• Being a team player.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center suites, clubs, and other specialty areas.
• Ability to vacuum, dust, clean restrooms, wipe surfaces, change trash cans, extract carpets, and other cleaning functions as assigned.
• Keeping all supply areas neat and stocked properly.
• Pre-show and post-show cleaning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instruction and direction.
• Ability to have a flexible schedule based on events, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Displaying a professional and highly motivated demeanor.
• Ability to perform janitorial duties in a sometimes fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
