Overview

OVG has an exciting opportunity for a Box Office Manager at the 10,000 seat CURE Insurance Arena in Mercer County, NJ. The Manager will manage and oversees all aspects of the daily operation of the box office, providing world class customer and guest service. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in ticketing, staff management, and guest services.

This role will pay a salary of $50,000 to $58,500.

About the Venue

The CURE Insurance Arena is Mercer County’s 10,000-seat multipurpose arena located in Mercer County, NJ that holds over 150 events annually. OVG360 provides Venue Management, Food Services & Hospitality, and Corporate Partnerships at the CURE Insurance Arena.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate event information between promoter, facility personnel, and ticketing company, including pricing and seating configurations
• Manage communication and reporting with event promoters, event staff, and building management
• Oversee daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly sales of tickets and enter data for building management
• Reconcile any issues between ticket sales and the Finance department including shortages or overages
• Develop and maintain documentation and training material on Box Office policies and procedures including cash and credit card handling (PCI compliance)
• Build all events in the ticketing system, including seating manifests, price tables, holds/kills, discounts, pre-sales, etc.
• Oversee all financial reconciliation in regards to daily reports, monthly reports and event settlement
• Manage all information being sent and posted through ticketing system
• Act as systems administrator for ticketing system and liaison between staff, promoters, presenters and the facility
• Responsible for system upgrades, occasional testing of new software and routine maintenance and trouble-shooting
• Prepare all ticketing reports for and work with tenants on system training and related premiums services ticketing
• Update and relay all box-office related event information to each department and client
• Investigate and resolve ticket-related issues
• Responsible for season ticket renewal mailings, processing of season ticket monies and printing/mailing of season tickets
• Manage and monitor website information and data for accuracy related to show and event ticketing builds.
• Responsible for the collection of all ticket monies, tracking of accounts payable/receivable and preparation of sales reports/ticket revenue updates
• Work with sales and marketing departments to set up various ticket discounts and promotion
• Oversee will call for all ticketed events, ensuring compliance to all relevant ticket laws
• Process/fill approved charity tickets requests; document all complimentary tickets issued
• Track attendance for all events, including pre-sales, walk-ups, promotions, discounts, etc.
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise part time Box Office staff ensuring that all staff are fully trained in handling customer opportunities and explaining policies

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Diploma in Business Administration or Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Minimum three plus years of increasingly responsible box office / ticketing experience, preferable with a sports facility, convention center, performing arts facility or other multipurpose assembly facility
• Customer service experience, including supervisory experience
• Ability to provide leadership, engage in positive interactions with staff and fans, prioritize and organize, motivate staff, problem solve, delegate, follow-up and communicate, both orally and in writing
• Skill and knowledge of computerized ticketing operations and software (Ticketmaster is preferrred, Paciolan, Microsoft Office Suite), guest services, phone etiquette, immediate and long-term decision making, cash management
• Ability to work flexible and extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours
