Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assists General Manager in preparation of annual budgets 
  • Prepares accurate and timely monthly financial statements
  • Maintains confidentiality of all team members, vendors, and guest information
  • Compiles and completes daily reports
  • Verifies, allocates, and posts details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files from documents, such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, check stubs, and computer printouts
  • Compiles reports to show statistics, such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to the operation of the business
  • May verify and process invoices, prepare payments for signature, sort, code, and enter accounts payable data, and analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices
  • May prepare and submit customer invoices, as well as code, post, and receipt payments
  • Prepare and coordinate deposit activities, perform all necessary account, bank, and other reconciliations, and monitor customer accounts for non-payment and delayed payment
  • Reconciles and balances accounts in a timely manner
  • May process and send statements to vendors and customers
  • Collects and reviews tax documents regarding tax exempt guests/clients
  • Maintain in-depth relations with all members and the management team
  • Reports to work for scheduled shifts, on time, in accordance with company policy
  • Know and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties

  • Performs other related duties as required.

  • Able to handle multiple tasks and maintain control and order over the same 
  • Good financial reporting technical skills 
  • Exceptional work ethic 
  • Able to analyze, organize, summarize, and articulate complex legal and financial information 
  • Detailed, organized, and communicative 
  • Understanding, yet persuasive and decisive when dealing with others in the organization 
  • Responsive team player with the ability to quickly prioritize among numerous pressing tasks 
  • Excellent understanding and aptitude with spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation programs
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departmental functions
  • Strong knowledge of tax and financial reporting
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or Business Administration 
  • CPA certification preferred but not mandatory
  • Minimum of two years of Accounting experience
  • Background in the hospitality field is preferred

Hours:

  • Due to the nature of the business, scheduling may vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements of the Position:

  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Work involves sitting most of the time.
  • May be required to lift more than 40 pounds on occasion.

Work Conditions:

  • Inside work environment. Not substantially exposed to adverse conditions.
