O'Connor Professional Group is Hiring a Business Development Account Executive Near Hyde Park, MA

Position: Business Development Account Executive, Employer Services

Status: Full-time, Exempt or Part-time

Location: Flexible, with some travel expected

Compensation: $60,000-80,000 base with competitive bonus structure

Who you are: 

You are relationship-driven, solution-oriented and creative in your approach to business development. You are strategic thinker and thrive at developing sources of new business opportunities and building a pipeline of leads that result in client engagements across diverse industries and communities. You are adept at sourcing leads through original research, leveraging relationships, cultivating opportunities through networking events and collaborating with OPG stakeholders to create revenue opportunities. You are a confident communicator and active listener and can navigate conversations across a spectrum of decision makers such as employer HR, benefits, DEIB and wellness leaders, employer benefits brokers, and other service providers. You are highly-organized and diligent about managing your BD efforts in Salesforce and can easily communicate results and progress to team leaders when needed. The main KPIs for this position are annual revenue targets, average client value, and new client acquisition.

What you’ll do:

• Generate and qualify new sales leads through various channels including original market research, email outreach, cold calling, networking events and conferences. • Collaborate with the Director of ES and other BD account executives to identify opportunities for growth and develop strategies to capitalize on them.• Develop and nurture relationships with prospective clients and key stakeholders to understand their unique needs and pain points.• Stay current on industry trends related to employers and specific to mental health and well-being issues and needs.• Support the development and execution our Employer Services sales strategy.• Cultivate relationships across a spectrum of stakeholders and industries. • Close new business and drive growth in revenue • Additional duties assigned as deemed appropriate.

What you’ll bring: 

• A background in business development, employee benefits and/or sales.• Experience selling to and a network of relationships with key decision makers (C-Suite and/or HR, Benefits, Total Rewards, wellness and people leaders).• The ability to close deals.• Team player• A demonstrated track record for driving revenue growth in highly competitive market• Exceptional follow through and persistence to move deals through the sales cycle• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues

You’ll ideally be:

• Self-motivated and results-oriented with a drive to meet and exceed sales targets.• Problem solver who is adept at identifying and overcoming challenges.• A clear communicator and extremely responsive to clients and colleagues.• Strong presentation skills and comfortable speaking with prospects at all levels of an organization.• Organized and detail oriented.• Cognizant of the behavioral health challenges employers and employees face, and able to effectively communicate and offer solutions to address these challenges• Demonstrated engagement in community service initiatives, particularly those focused on underserved communities• An understanding of social responsibility and how to contribute positively to the well-being of others
