Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Payroll Accounting Manager.
In this role, the successful candidate as the Payroll Accounting Manager will be instrumental in the development and redesign payroll policies and processes that will enhance and ensure strong internal controls, integrity of all payroll data, prevent fraud and ensure accuracy and compliance for all payments, salary, benefits and tax filings originating from payroll; Help implement a robust review process to track progress and find ways for improvements;
Provide memoranda and other communications as needed to document payroll related processes, policies, tax issues and other payroll related matters;
Provide leadership and development opportunities for staff, mentoring and coaching to team through routine staff evaluation, motivation and support; provide an atmosphere of integrity and trust;
Liaise with leadership from Human Resources, Finance and IT;
Demonstrate creative thinking and seeks alternative solutions to address challenges and issues.
Respects and maintains confidentiality of all information within NYU Langone Health;
Stay continually informed on the changing Payroll landscape. Keep up-to-date on innovations in technology and processes related to payroll operations and payroll tax;

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a BA/BS in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance Accounting
2 years combined Payroll, Accounting, & Finance related experience.
Required Licenses: Certified Public Accountant
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $97,589.96 - $162,649.75 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
