NV5 is an ENR Top 500 firm; we offer a full range of professional services.We are seeking Civil Project Engineers who will work on New York City infrastructure design projects at our office in Lower Manhattan. NV5’s New York City Office operates on a four-day work week and we work on a wide variety of public and private infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

The Civil Project Engineer will apply their knowledge of civil engineering to lead the research, investigation, and design tasks related to roadway and infrastructure design projects for New York City or State agencies. This may include:

• Highway and roadway design and alignment.
• Grading, drainage, pavement markings and signage.
• Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Construction Staging.
• Studies, development of technical drawings, preparation of estimates of quantities and writing specifications.
• Construction support services, including submittal and RFI reviews
• Design of Flood Protection infrastructure
• Assist the Project Manager in client relations and financial management of each project

Qualifications

• A Baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college.
• Professional Engineer’s License in the State of New York
• Knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD especially)
• Knowledge of Civil3D, (a plus)
• Knowledge of Microstation, (a plus)
• Detailed oriented, excellent writing skills
• Advanced Technical knowledge in the field of Civil Engineering

Certifications/Licenses:

• Professional Engineer’s (PE) License in the State of New York

The pay range for this position in New York City is $75,000.00- $90,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
