Job Opportunity: Leadership Support Role in Hospital Nursing Management

Overview: We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide pivotal support to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) responsible for overseeing nursing and other patient care functions within our hospital organization. This dynamic role involves coordinating and improving nursing practices across multiple units, with a focus on enhancing the quality and safety of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the CNO in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices across various units.
  • Take on 24/7 responsibility for the assigned areas, ensuring high standards of nursing care and resource management.
  • Support the CNO in fostering a professional environment that upholds the integrity and effectiveness of nursing operations.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Required: Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited institution, complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field, or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Preferred: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Master’s degree in a related healthcare field.

Experience:

  • Required: At least 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting, including roles as a manager or in a significant charge nurse capacity.

Certifications:

  • Required: Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice. Certification in CPR and adherence to state-specific registration and certification laws.

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Proven leadership skills with operational knowledge of hospital settings.
  • Strong advocacy for professional nursing practices.
