Job Description:
Patient Assessment:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients admitted to the Short Stay Observation Unit, including vital signs, medical history, and presenting symptoms.
Care Planning:
Develop and implement individualized care plans, in collaboration with the healthcare team, to address patients' needs and ensure a safe and efficient stay.
Monitoring and Observation:
Continuously monitor patients' conditions, including their response to treatment, and promptly report any changes or concerns to the healthcare provider.
Medication Administration:
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and adherence to medication safety protocols.
Patient Education:
Educate patients and their families on the purpose of the observation stay, expected outcomes, and post-discharge instructions.
Discharge Planning:
Collaborate with the team to facilitate smooth patient transitions, ensuring appropriate follow-up care and necessary arrangements for discharge.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree and RN license or eligibility required for Graduate Nurse.
